Grant Program for Dispatching Artists and Cultural Specialists

Japan Foundation

The Japan Foundation provides grants for Japanese cultural specialists (artists, performers, lecturers etc) to travel to Australia for the duration of a pre-prepared event.  Such an event must outline the way in which it will contribute towards an increased cultural awareness of Japan in Australia.  The grant covers flights to and from Australia for the cultural specialist, as well as any freight costs, with any costs necessary towards the preparation and running the cultural event beyond the scope of the grant program.

1 December 2016 application deadline for projects which take place between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018. 1 June 2017 application deadline for projects which take place between 1 October 2017 and 31 March 2018.

The AJBCC’s objective is to raise the profile of Japan, promote and increase business opportunities and strengthen ties between Australia and Japan for the benefit of Members as well as the broader community.
