Graduate Program in Japanese Language and Culture (Master’s Course)

This grant provides teachers of Japanese, and government officials who have experience teaching Japanese, who are expected to be future leaders in the field of Japanese language education, with the opportunity to complete a Master’s degree in Japanese-language education.  Participants will be able to complete their Master’s course at the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute (JFJLI) in Urawa, Saitama with certain coursework available through the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS).  Upon completion, individuals will be conferred a Master of Japanese Language and Culture or Master of Japanese Language Education by JFJLI, Urawa and GRIPS.

1 December 2017 application deadline for one-year Master’s course running September 2018- September 2019
Australian Japanese-language teachers or government officials with more than two years of teaching experience. Applicants must be 44 years or under with JLPT minimum Level N1 language skills.

The AJBCC’s objective is to raise the profile of Japan, promote and increase business opportunities and strengthen ties between Australia and Japan for the benefit of Members as well as the broader community.
